Aragonite
Aragonite is a carbonate mineral with a composition of CaCO3, which is homogeneous and polymorphous with calcite and others. The rhombohedral crystal system, the crystals are columnar or speleothem, common pseudo-hexagonal symmetrical triplet crystals. The aggregates are mostly crusty, oolitic, pea-like, globular and so on. Aragonite is variable in color and can be white, yellow, pink, red, brown, or blue. It is usually fragile in texture and will have distinctive spiral streaks, river-like streaks, or small spherical structures.
